The Impressive Performance of the Iconic Ford F-150
Since the 1970s, Ford F-Series trucks have been the best selling pickups in the United States. There are many reasons for this because F-Series trucks are rugged, fuel-efficient, and versatile, and that's just naming a few of their many attributes. Perhaps the biggest reason for the popularity of F-Series trucks over the years, however, has been their excellent Ford performance, and the 2010 Ford F-150 is very much within that tradition of excellence.
The current generation of F-150
The 2020 F-150 has an impressive towing capacity of up to 13,200 pounds, depending on the trim, which means that you've got plenty of options of how you're going to use your F-150 for both work and recreation. Its steel frame is built strong, and it also has a body and bed made of rugged aluminum alloy. These are two of the reasons that the towing capacity is so high. The alloy used to make the bed and body is created by a special heat-treatment process to make it both light and strong, which is why the F-150 can be as tough as it is without being heavy. This is a military-grade alloy, and Ford is justifiably proud of it.
